Camp Maple Leaf Campaign

FUNDRAISING HAPPENING NOW
It is through efforts like this campaign that children who are less fortunate as well as children from our Military Families are being given the opportunity for a wonderful camping experience.
Camp Maple Leaf was originally founded by Canadian War Veterans and is located on Pigeon Lake in the Kawartha's.
By supporting this program, you will receive a Police Retirees Windshield Decal along with an information package showing the various initiatives the Police Retirees are involved in. This enables you to proudly show your support while driving in your local community.

About the Camp Program
The Camp Maple Leaf program is recreation and adventure based, and is designed to promote the development of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-control, problem solving skills, and conflict resolution. The relationships formed at Camp Maple Leaf often become a significant relationship in a child’s life. Our counselors work closely with the campers to support them and coach them to identify their strengths and build on those strengths to achieve. Each staff position at Camp includes the responsibility to “be a role model and mentor," offering support to their colleagues, and to Campers in an effort to ensure an effective and harmonious environment that enhances strengths and promotes potential, and always seeks to improve.
Camp Maple Leaf builds social skills and self-esteem in hard to serve, at risk children between the ages of 8 and 15 through their participation in highly structured, recreationally oriented therapeutic programming. Through teaching aspects of SNAP® (Stop Now And Plan), the children will learn self-control, problem solving skills, how to deal with peer pressure, and avoiding trouble.
