The following are the current members of the Board of Directors of The Police Retirees of Ontario.

Al Olsen
President

Al joined the Toronto Police Services in March of 1973 and spent most of his policing service in 51 Division as a front line officer. In October of 1991 he retired from the Toronto Police Service and was elected that same year to the Board of Directors of the Toronto Police Association. Al‘s first position was Uniform Director. His last 3 years were as Vice President and Acting President. He retired from the TPA in the fall of 2006. Al was always active in one way or another in most of the Police Associated Sporting Events as well as some of their Social Activities. It was through this type of participation that Al developed a great understanding of and rapport with many charitable organizations. He was elected to the P.R.O. Board in May of 2007 and is enjoying the opportunity of working for its members and for charities throughout Ontario.

Vic Dybenko

Vic was sworn in by the Toronto Police Service in March of 1971. He served for 30 years, retiring in 2001 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Vic’s police experiences included uniform, fraud squad, hold-up squad and detective. After his retirement he was employed as an Executive Assistant to the President of The Toronto Police Association for three years. Over the years Vic has participated in and assisted with various charitable functions and events. Vic joined the Board of the P.R.O. in May of 2002.

Barry Moyle

Barry Moyle started his police career with the Toronto Police in 1976 as a constable. He worked with criminal investigation, plainclothes, and community relations. In 1989 he joined the Owen Sound police force and was an A/Sgt until August 1989 when he was appointed Chief of Police with the Palmerston Police Service. Barry retired from policing in 1997 and accepted an appointment as the Chief of Security at the former Toronto SkyDome. Barry has worked on numerous children's charities over the years and has worked on many Police and Charitable Committees. When Canada sent troops to Afghanistan in 2002, Barry joined the Canadian Armed Forces (Army) where he is now employed as Emergency and Security Officer.

Walter Jackson

Walter started his police career with the Toronto Police Service as a Constable in 1967. He served most of his career in 52 Division as a front line officer. Walter retired in 1998 with the rank of Detective Constable. He then worked with the Toronto Police Association Legal Assistance Plan, assisting numerous members with legal matters until 2006. Walter has always enjoyed working with charities and is enjoying the opportunity to work with the Police Retirees Board and charities throughout Ontario.
